Our first post!

All dressed up and ready to hit the town!

We were excited to have Doreen and Rick Van Rhijn visit us from Houston BC. (May 6)

Auntie Karen meets Katelyn for the first time (May 5). Katelyn showed her true colors by filling her pants :-)

Auntie Liza comes to visit and was a great help to mom for the weekend (May 3) .

Katelyn showing off her cuteness.

Play time!

Grandpa and Grandma Gerei having one last snuggle before heading out on the road to home.

Isn't she cute after getting her hair washed! Bring on the curly locks!

Celebrating dad's 70th birthday! Sorry we had no candles :-(... but at least dad enjoyed the first cherry :-)

Taking a nap on my play mat.

Getting ready to go to our first church service.

Grandma G with Katelyn sporting her new Curves onesie... perhaps K will join Grandma at the gym one day.

Thanks Auntie Marika for the great socks .. I can't wait to start cheering for the Canucks (okay mom wrote that!)... too bad my feet are so huge... they are already too small :-(

Katelyn enjoys a nap with Grandpa.

Katelyn, mom and Pooh bear.

Dad and Bruce get ready to go out into the miserable snowy weather to prep the work trailer for Bruce's new landscaping business.

Danica's daughters (Kendra, Cailey and Hannah) are excited to meet Katelyn when she is 10 days old.

Auntie Teresa, Uncle Keith and cousins Joel and Chloe meet Katelyn for the first time. Katelyn is 9 days old.

Cuddle time with dad.

Mom and daughter enjoy a much needed nap.

Learning to burp is tiring work!

Nap time with teddy "Sunshine"

Tummy time... and I think Katelyn is looking for her thumb.

Katelyn's first bath at home :-)

Welcome home Katelyn!

Our first car ride ... coming home from the hospital.

Best friend Danica holding Katelyn shortly after being born. Danica was present for her birth and was the best "free dula" Bruce and I could ask for!! Thanks friend :-)

Grandma and Grandpa Gerei drive the 1100 km (quickly might I add!) to meet their first grandchild just 24 hours after she is born.

Grandma Malmstrom meets her third grandchild for the first time.

Proud dad moment!

So I am attempting to set up a blog for all to read to update all you friendly folk about our family. It will take a little while to go back from day 1 of baby Katelyn's arrival, but I will do my best! SOOOO... here she is with proud mom and dad just minutes after being born on April 11, 2008 at 5:24pm. She was 7 lbs 15 oz and 21 inches long.

Hey Bruce and family!
Nice blogg. I agree, blogg is a weird name :)
But you have put in a lot of pictures of what is happening in your family. Looks good all the way to Sweden.
I'm also partial to babies born in April, they usually are very nice and look good and are well behaved :)
Take care,
Peter
