One of my best friends, Marianne, and her daughter, Kathryn, came for a quick visit from Victoria. We loved meeting Kathryn for the first time!

Bruce tears up our front yard to put in a paving stone pathway and front patio with some turf that will actually grow now that the poplar tree from our neighbour's yard is gone! (Notice our foreman in the background as she just hangs out in her stroller.)

Despite having a day of showers, Katelyn enjoyed her hike to the far end of Lake Louise and beyond. We just dressed in our rain coats and had fun in the puddles!

Auntie Marika came for a visit and we stopped in Banff and went up the Gondola on our way to Lake Louise. Marika and I did not really enjoy the ride too much... what wimps we are :-)
We went back to Pine Lake for the September long weekend for Bruce to finish up the landscaping job he had started at the beginning of August... Katelyn thought it would be fun to ride along with dad in the bob cat.
